On April 26th, Stanton County saw its only confirmed tornado out of 3 issued tornado warnings. Damage was reported in northwestern Stanton County, south of the Off-Road Ranch. The Norfolk Athletic Training Facility, along with a pallet business and a couple of mechanic's shops, were heavily damaged and one facility was unrepairable. Stanton County EMA assessed the damage after the storm went through and determined that a call to the National Weather Service for clarification and survey would need to be conducted. Drone images showed a distinct path through where the businesses were located. No other damage was reported east or west of this location. On Sunday, the National Weather Service's survey team, assessed the damage and confirmed that an EF-1 rated tornado was responsible for the damages. Their findings showed that the tornado was on the ground between 5:16pm - 5:19pm and measured 100yds wide, had a peak wind gust of 107mph, and traveled 0.7miles. Thankfully, there were no injuries or fatalities with this tornado.
