Stanton County EMA Participates in First Annual Contractor Stand Down Hosted by Nucor Steel Nebraska

Stanton County EMA, Region 11 EMA, Norfolk Fire and Rescue, and many other local and area contractors take part in the first annual Contractor Safety Stand Down for Nucor Steel, Nebraska!

The Nucor Steel Corporation is dedicated to their commitment to safety for all of its teammates and contractors. The management team of Nucor reiterated that commitment this morning by having multiple contractors come in and review policies, procedures, and re-affirm that they are part of the Nucor family, and their safety is just as important as their own Nucor teammates.

The Nucor Steel Mill is one of Stanton County’s largest employers. Stanton County EMA has had a long-standing working relationship with The Nucor Corporation and their entire team, as one of the premier stakeholders in our county! From assisting with exercises, responding to calls, working together in various emergencies, The Nucor Steel Corporation has always been there to support our agency and our local residents!
