Annual Storm Spotting Class to be held at the Pilger Fire Department in Pilger, Nebraska. This class is hosted by the Stanton County Emergency Management Agency and is presented by the National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley. This training is for first responders who are deployed as storm spotters, however, the public and media are encouraged to attend. This class is from 07:00pm to 09:00pm on April 7th, 2025.

The Northeast Planning, Exercise, and Training Region in Northeast Nebraska is hosting training conducted by Phil Chalmers. This training is specifically for schools, school staff, administrators, and school resource officers. This training is being funded by the US Department of Homeland Security's FY23 SHSG Grant. Space is limited and you must register for the event at the link below. There is no cost for this class. We have created two events for this training and both events are broken down to two, 3-hour sessions. Both sessions are the same, so you only need to register for one event. Please bring a valid ID to the training, as we will be using our accountability software for checking in and out participants.

The Northeast Planning Exercise and Training Region, in Northeast Nebraska, is bringing Phil Chalmer’s back to the area for valuable training for law enforcement and first responders. This training is funded by a grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Please bring a valid ID or Salamander Card with you to training, as we will be using our accountability software for attendance. Registration for this event is required.

This is an 8-hour training with a meal provided.
